About the Firm

Osborn Chartered Surveyors was started by Michael Osborn in 2005, with his son joining the family business in 2009 after completing his degree. The firm has grown consistently since then, taking on new staff and expanding our services. Although our office is based in Essex, the majority of our work is carried out in London and inside of the M25. Our rural base enables us to offer competitive rates compared to London based practices.

The Team

Michael osborn FRics

Michael was elected a fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 1992. Previously to starting his own company he worked in senior positions in major companies. He was responsible for a major office scheme on the thames and a 6 * refurbishment of the Langham Hotel. He has a wealth of experience in most construction and property matters.

samuel osborn Bsc(hons)

Following in his father footsteps, Samuel completed his degree in 2009. A passion for property and previous experience working for estate agency, building surveyors and construction companies led to studying for a degree in his spare time while working. Once qualified began learning from the vast experience of his father, and has now focused predominantly on the Party Wall Act etc. 1996 

 

Steven Mcdonnell BSC(hons)

Steven joined the firm in 2017 from a background in both Client-side and private practice based building surveying roles. He graduated from the University of Reading in 2012 and has since gained experience in a varied workload including pre-acquisition surveys, defect analysis, specification writing, contract administration, leaseholder alterations (Landlord and Tenant) and party wall matters among other works. He most enjoys seeing instructions through from start to end to see real value delivered to his Clients.
